Brandon probably does not need much introduction, being that he played in 66 games for the big club this year. We are all well aware of his outstanding glove, and his struggles at the plate.
Brandon was drafted in the 4th round of the 2008 draft. 2011 was Brandon's 4th season in the Giants organazation, which started in San Jose and ended in San Francisco. In his time in the minors, Brandon has played in 265 games, batting .266 with a .331 OBP and a .403 SLG, for an OPS of .734.
Brandon will have to make big strides at the plate to be the every day shortstop for the Giants in 2012. With a few modifications to his approach, and some signs of offensive improvement near the end of the year, there is certainly reason for optimism. We are rooting for you Brandon, we would love to see you wearing the orange and black in 2012 and for a long time to come.
